Today

From the moment I laid eyes on her, she was a wondrous sight.
Her beauty is evident regardless of what form she takes as she matures.
What a generous Father I have to share with me his splendid creation.
I will treasure each moment I have with her.
For she was never promised to me.
She will be special and appreciated like she is the only one I will ever have.
She will be carefully used so all that follow her will have purpose.
I will reflect back on all those that preceded her.
I will do my best to wisely use the lessons they taught me.
Because if I ignore their lessons, then she will have no meaning.
I will remain focused on my goals as she brings to light new challenges.
I know the course I take now will influence all that are yet to come.
So I say,  thank you Lord for another precious gift.
Please continue  to guide me in a Christian way.
And I will try to always remember that my tomorrow is conceived today.
